The Story

This musical romp is based on the fortunes of the Chicken Ranch, a legendary Texas brothel which, after 130 years of activity, suddenly comes under the microscope of a crusading reporter campaigning to shut it down.

When the reporter, Melvin P. Thorpe, ‘uncovers’ the illegal activity he begins rallying support from the local politicians. It turns out that many of them are not strangers to the Chicken Ranch, while the owner, Miss Mona, who takes good care of her girls, is also on good terms with the local sheriff!

As political wrangling and media exposure gather momentum, will the Best Little Whorehouse in Texas survive?
